Chao Phraya River, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Navy inspects the training of rowers in the Chao Phraya River and gives advice at the assembly point under Rama VIII Bridge (Thonburi side) Vice Admiral Wichit Tanprapa, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Navy, Personnel Department, as Chairman of the Committee for Preparation of the Royal Barge Procession (Chairman of the Committee), inspected the training of rowers in the Chao Phraya River and gave advice and training policies to the rowers at the assembly point under the Rama VIII Bridge (Thonburi side). The training of rowers from all areas, totaling 2,200 personnel, will be trained on boats in the river during 8 - 30 July 2024 (15 days after), with 2 main areas being the Rama VIII Bridge area and the Thonburi Naval Dockyard. The Royal Thai Navy will open for the public and interested persons to watch the training of rowers and the royal barges on 8 - 30 July 2024 (only on official days) as follows: You can watch the rowers' training in t he Chao Phraya River under the Rama VIII Bridge from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You can visit the Suphannahong Royal Barge, the Narai Song Suban Royal Barge of King Rama IX, the Ananta Nakarat Royal Barge, and the Anekchat Phuchong Royal Barge at the Thonburi Naval Dockyard, the Royal Thai Navy Dockyard Department, Arun Amarin Road, Bangkok Noi District, during office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those who wish to watch the royal barge rowing practice can watch from July 8-12, July 15-19, and July 23-26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The rowers' training in formation will begin with a small practice in the form of a boat parade in the Chao Phraya River 10 times as follows: 1st time on August 1, 2nd time on August 8, 3rd time on August 15, 4th time on August 22, 5th time on September 3, 6th time on September 12, 7th time on September 19, 8th time on September 26, 9th time on October 3, and 10th time on October 10.
