Vietnam’s National Assembly to Conduct Q&A Session and Deliberate on Key Laws Next Week

Hanoi: The 15th National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam is set to conduct a question-and-answer session next week as part of its ongoing sixth meeting. This session, scheduled from November 6-8, will focus on the implementation of resolutions related to the legislature’s supervisory and Q&A activities. The proceedings will be broadcast live on radio and television channels.

According to Vietnam News Agency, legislators will vote on various resolutions during the week, including those pertaining to the socio-economic development plan, the State budget estimate, and the State budget allocation plan for 2024.

The Assembly will also deliberate on several draft laws and resolutions, such as the Law on National Defence Industry and Security and Industrial Mobilisation, amendments to the Law on Property Auction, the revised Law on Organisation of People's Courts, the Law on Road Traffic, and the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety. Additionally, they will discuss the revised Archive Law, the amended Law on Capital, and resolutions on corporate income tax (CIT) regulations against global tax base erosion.

Plenary sessions will examine adjustments to the NA’s Resolution No. 53/2017/QH14 regarding the Long Thanh International Airport construction project, alongside other government reports.
