According to Vietnam News Agency, On November 6, the CPV delegation held talks with Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Central Committee’s Commission for Discipline Inspection. Both parties commended the positive developments in the relationship between the two Parties and countries, especially since the historic visit to China by CPV Central Committee General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong after the 20th National Congress of the CPC.

During the talks, Tran Cam Tu emphasized that the visit is a continuation of the high-level exchanges and meetings between the two Parties and countries in recent years. He underscored Vietnam’s commitment to prioritizing and developing its relationship with China, expressing readiness to work with the Chinese Party and State to elevate their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Tu outlined the goals for this partnership, including achieving higher political trust, enhancing defence and security cooperation, deepening practical collaboration, strengthening social foundations, and effectively managing and resolving differences in line with international law.

Li Xi, on his part, acknowledged the significance of the visit in implementing the shared understandings reached by senior leaders of both Parties and nations. He expressed China’s readiness to work with Vietnam to enhance the traditional friendship and make cooperation in various fields more effective and practical.

Both sides agreed on the importance of facilitating regular exchanges of delegations and meetings at all levels, promoting cooperation across various sectors, and sharing experiences in Party inspection, supervision, and discipline. They also discussed ways to improve anti-corruption measures, administrative reform, and the mechanisms for disciplinary inspection and supervision.

The Vietnamese official proposed China’s continued support in training Vietnamese personnel in Party inspection, supervision, and discipline, in line with the new cooperation plan between the two Parties.

Earlier, the Vietnamese delegation held meetings with leaders of the Commission for Disciplinary Inspection of the Beijing municipal Party Committee, the Supervision Commission of Beijing, and participated in a seminar with the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine to exchange professional experiences.
