Seoul: A delegation from the Vietnam Journalists' Association (VJA), led by its Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Loi, visited the Republic of Korea (RoK) from November 5-10 to exchange experiences with Korean counterparts in adapting to the digital transformation era. During the visit, the Vietnamese journalists engaged in professional discussions with the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK) and associations of journalists in Gangwon and Gyeonggi provinces, as well as several RoK media agencies.

According to Vietnam News Agency, At a working session between the VJA and JAK delegations, both sides agreed to enhance information exchange about their respective countries in various fields, including politics, economy, culture, and society. The associations plan to encourage their member agencies to collaborate and support each other, thereby facilitating information exchanges at all levels and improving mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.

During this period of digital transition, the VJA delegation visited several RoK television broadcasters like MBC and KBS to learn about their operations and information transformation, and how they are managing the shift from traditional to multi-platform media. Vietnamese and Korean journalists also discussed the evolving role of the press, the social responsibilities of journalists, and the need for training to adapt to new professional environments.

Nguyen Duc Loi, speaking to the Vietnam News Agency in Seoul, highlighted that the visit was not only a learning opportunity about the RoK's application of technologies in press activities but also a chance to understand how Korean journalists operate amid intense competition with other information forms. The RoK, with about 30,000 people in journalism and over 8,000 members in JAK, presents a significant model for Vietnamese journalists in adapting to the changing media landscape.
