The Prime Minister and his wife presided over the holy water blessing ceremony on the occasion of the 6th cycle birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King on July 28, 2024. At 3:20 p.m. at the Ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklararm Ratchaworamahawihan, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Prime Minister Settha Thavisin and his wife Pakpilai Thavisin presided over the ceremony to bless holy water. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuphrai, Minister of Culture Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitchkosol, and Prime Minister's Secretary-General Mr. Prommin Lersuridej also attended the ceremony. When the Prime Minister and his wife arrived at Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklararm Ratchaworamahawihan, the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly, and the President of the Supreme Court poured holy water from the holy water jars of all 77 provinces into the sacred bowl. The Prime Minister then lit incense and candles as an offering in front of Phra Phuttha Devapatimakorn, the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall. The Prime Minister then bowed and offered incense and candles in front of the portrait of His Majesty the King. The monks gave precepts. Phra Maha Ratchakhru Phithi Siwisutthikun, the presiding Phrakhru Brahmin, lit incense and candles to worship the gods. Phra Maha Ratchakhru Phithi Siwisutthikun read the announcement. The officials invited 73 monks to chant Buddhist prayers. The Prime Minister lit a candle covering the bronze bowl and offered it to Somdej Phra Thiranyanamuni, the President of the Sangha and Abbot of Wat Thepsirintharawat Ratchaworawihan. The President of the Sangha then poured holy water from the bronze bowl into a bowl, combined with holy water from various provinces. After that, Phra Maha Ratchakhru Phithi Siwisutthikun, the President of the Brahmins, poured holy water into the bowl. On this occasion, the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly, and the President of the Supreme Court poured holy water from a bowl of water, using a stone cup with Buddhist inscriptions, into the golden Phra Tao Pathum Nimit of the Prime Minister, the silver Phra Tao Pathum Nimit of the President of the National Assembly, and the silver Phra Tao Pathum Nimit of the President of the Supreme Court.
