Bangkok, 'Srisuwan-Jeng Dokjik' met with the prosecutor as scheduled to hear the order in the case of extortion of the Director-General of the Rice Department. They confirmed that they are still innocent and confident in the evidence. They are ready to join hands to fight together. Mr. Srisuwan Janya and Mr. Yotsawarit Chuaklom or Jeng Dokjik, along with 5 others, traveled to the Office of the Attorney General on Ratchadaphisek Road as ordered by the prosecutor to hear the order to indict or not indict in the case in which their group was accused of demanding benefits from the Director-General of the Rice Department in exchange for not filing a complaint about corruption. Mr. Srisuwan revealed that today he came to report himself as scheduled. Initially, he did not know what charges he was facing because from what he followed from the media, he was informed that he had been charged with 6 charges. However, what he was informed from the investigators was that there were only 4 charges at this time. However, he received a report that the hearing of the case order had been postponed because the investigators had just sent the case file to the prosecutors not long ago, causing the prosecutors to not finish considering the case file. However, as the accused, he had to come to report himself as scheduled. After this, he and his wife will prepare to submit a letter requesting justice to the prosecutors because they are confident that there is evidence confirming their innocence. In the past, they did not discuss with the other accused groups, especially Mr. Sawarit, whom they met only once. Until they met today, which was the first time in 6 months. In the past, he continued to help the people because there were villagers who were in trouble who came to ask for help. But for the complaints, he admitted that he had to review his role and duties, and he had to check all the details more than before because in the past, there were many things he had complained about that were investigated and were successful. Therefore, after he was prosecuted, he had to be more careful because he personally saw it as a result of him going around complaining about political issues. While Mr. Yosawarit revealed that he was being prosecuted on 6 charges, which he had previously sent his personal lawyer to file a request for justice with the public prosecutor. However, if the public prosecutor orders a postponement, he sees it as a benefit for himself and his group because it will give the public prosecutor more time to consider the case. He insists that he is still innocent despite being accused, but he is confident in the evidence that will be used to fight in court. As for the issue of his relationship with Mr. Srisuwan, there is nothing that needs to be cleared up personally. After the interview, both of them shook hands with smiles on their faces and raised two fingers to fight together before going to meet the prosecutor. Source: Thai News Agency
