Cyber ??police raided and arrested a woman in Trang Province who was playing bingo live. The money circulation for the first half of the year was over 1 million baht. Cyber ??police arrested Ms. Phattharaphon or Joy, 33 years old, from Trang Province, while she was live streaming a game of gambling on bingo numbers at her house in Mueang District, Trang Province. They found evidence at the table, including a mobile phone with conversations with customers and evidence of money transfers, as well as a sheet of paper with a table for reserving bingo numbers, labeled 'Baan Phi Joy Pa Pang,' and a sheet of paper recording statistics on bingo scores. This arrest was made after finding clues about a live broadcast of illegal gambling and bingo results, using a Facebook account named 'Bingo Baan P'Joy Papang', inviting interested players to place bets every day. An admin acted as the administrator and controlled the live broadcast, allowing interested customers to add friends on the LINE account to provide bank acc ount information for transferring money and for customers to send proof of transfer. From the information, it was found that each day the admin organized a live bingo gambling game, starting from 9:00 a.m. onwards, approximately 15-20 times per day. It is estimated that the organizer received a difference of approximately 5,400 - 7,200 baht, depending on the players each time. From checking the financial information, it was found that there was a total of 1 million baht in circulation in the past 6 months. Initially, the suspect confessed that all the evidence belonged to him and that he was the one who live-streamed the gambling game of guessing the ball numbers (bingo). He claimed that he had been live-streaming the game for about 10 days and would only let people play when he had free time, not every day. He was responsible for communicating with customers via live, recording the number reservations of customers in the table, controlling the pressing of the ball numbers, and recording the winning numbers in the table. As for the customers who won the prize, he calculated the prize money for them and transferred the money to the customers who wanted to withdraw the money. The police therefore pressed charges and took them to be prosecuted according to the law. Source: Thai News Agency
