Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on Friday signed a decision to establish the Institute of Environment, Sea and Islands Science under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The Institute will function in basic research and technology application and development to serve the state management of the environment, sea and islands.
It will also provide scientific and technological services on the environment, sea and islands according to the provisions of law.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment shall specify the functions, tasks, authorizations and organizational structure of the Institute.
