Central Investigation Police and FDA crack down on the production and distribution of cosmetics that were used illegally, injected into the veins of infiNADi Nad+, seizing 47 items of evidence worth over 25 million baht. Following the revocation of the registration certificate for the cosmetic product 'infiNADiNad+' on February 29, and the discovery of the smuggling of the product into the body, even though it is a cosmetic product approved for external use only, the police of Division 4, Consumer Protection Suppression Division, and FDA officers have joined forces to crack down on cosmetic clinics that have been smuggling the cosmetic product into their bloodstream for the wrong purposes, claiming that it helps with brain, heart, blood vessels, breathing, sleep, DNA repair, antioxidants, prevents aging, and improves the immune system. This is considered a misuse that can be directly harmful to the consumer's body. Currently, the product is still being injected into patients at various hospitals. The polic e investigated and found out the company that hired the manufacturer, the storage place and the production place related to the product. They used the court warrant to search 3 locations as follows: The hiring company is located on the 6th floor of a condominium building in Soi Sukhumvit 7, Khlong Toei Nuea Subdistrict, Watthana District, Bangkok. A place for storing and distributing goods on the 2nd floor of a condominium building in Soi Sukhumvit 7, Klongtoey Nua Subdistrict, Watthana District, Bangkok. Both places have the same owner, consisting of a foreign employer (American nationality) and his Thai wife. As for the purchases, it is unknown where they come from. The employer orders everything himself and then has a vehicle to deliver them. Employees receive purchase orders from hospitals and clinics and then pack the goods and deliver them to the hospitals and clinics only. Both employers are currently traveling abroad. A total of 3 locations were searched, 47 items, 47,506 pieces of evidence seized, worth over 25 million baht. Initially, the police took legal action against both the hiring company and the manufacturing factory on several counts, such as the production of cosmetics with labels using inaccurate and incorrect text, 'incomplete and incorrect text on labels.' Pharmacist Khanitha Tantisiri, Director of the Cosmetics and Hazardous Substances Control Division, revealed the results of the inspection, finding that the product named infiNADi NAD+ Aging Solution was falsely registered, with the registration number revoked by the FDA since February 29, 2024. In addition, there was also an advertisement leaflet about the benefits of INFINADI NAD that made false and exaggerated claims. Products registered as cosmetics will not be evaluated for safety when injected into the body because cosmetics are for external use only. Therefore, if cosmetics are used incorrectly or for the wrong purpose, it may be harmful to the user. If injected into the body, it may cause infection. Therefore, both manufacturers and importers are warned to comply with the law. If any actions are found to violate the law, action will be taken to the fullest extent of the law, like this time. We also warn service providers and service recipients in cosmetic clinics and hospitals to carefully check the labels and consider using products in the form of ampoule vials. If consumers find a clinic that uses the wrong type of cosmetics, they can report it to the FDA hotline 1556 or P.O. Box 1556, the Ministry of Public Health Post Office, or the provincial public health office nationwide. While the police are investigating and expanding the investigation to the clinics and hospitals where this company distributes these products, it is assumed that the products are both produced in Thailand and imported from abroad, then mixed and separated into bottles by themselves.
