BAAC, together with the Economic Reporters Association, organized a training activity under the project 'Grow Vegetables for Your Own Consumption' at the BAAC Model Learning Center for Sufficiency Economy, Ban Tung Krapong, and visited the operation of the debt suspension measure for retail customers and the rehabilitation and development of potential customers who are debt suspension in Nakhon Nayok Province. Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, Manager of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), said that BAAC, together with the Economic Reporters Association, organized a training activity under the project 'Grow Vegetables for Your Own Consumption' at the BAAC Model Learning Center for Sufficiency Economy, Ban Tung Krapong, Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province to encourage members of the Economic Reporters Association to learn about mixed farming that meets organic farming standards by applying clean energy, such as growing vegetables in kitchen gardens, rotating crops, and growing vegetables in bags, which helps reduce production costs and can be further developed to increase the value of products, such as processing wild asparagus into Thong Muan snacks and rice crackers, which can create additional jobs and income. In addition, other activities within the learning center were also participated, such as raising bees, harvesting vegetables in the field, preparing soil, and making photosynthetic bacteria. Collecting dry leaves and food scraps to produce compost, growing vegetables in bags, and demonstrating how to make Thong Muan dessert, etc. In addition to members of the Economic Reporters Association who participated in the training, there was also a group of farmers who are customers of the BAAC who participated in the small debt suspension measure, totaling 10 people, who participated in the occupational potential rehabilitation training to promote farmers' income from their occupations during the debt suspension period. In Nakhon Nayok Province, there were 1,152 customers who participated in th e potential rehabilitation training. In this regard, BAAC has implemented the debt suspension measure for small farmers in accordance with the government's policy for customers whose principal debts in all contracts total no more than 300,000 baht. Currently, there are 1.8 million BAAC customers nationwide who have received the rights under this measure, with a total debt suspension of 257,247 million baht. BAAC has driven the project to restore occupational potential to develop and promote farmers who participate in the debt suspension project to increase their income during the debt suspension period, leading to sustainable debt resolution.
